10. TV Center

8. TNT
While Domashny targets women over 25, TNT is a channel for students and “young specialists”. The majority of the channel’s audience is between 18 and 35 years old.
The main direction of the channel is purely entertaining. The lion's share of the broadcasting grid is filled with television shows (for example, the famous Comedy Club), as well as comedy series. Some of them played the role of the forerunner for Russian television, giving rise to new trends in the art of making the audience laugh. TNT is also the leader in the number of views on the Russian Internet. Internet viewers make up almost 2.5% of the total.
7. STS
This TV channel is most interesting for adolescents, since its viewers are mainly people aged 12 to 17. Recently, STS launched an original novelty - the success show. This is the Russian version of The Final Four, in which the musical competition of non-professional performers is combined with a reality show and a survival game. Perhaps this will allow the channel to compensate for the loss of the production group Yellow, Black & White, which created such hits as “Kitchen” and “Eleon”.
6. The fifth channel
This is a popular St. Petersburg television channel, which during its existence several times dramatically changed the concept and radically revised the broadcasting network. At the moment, the Fifth decided to almost completely abandon the socio-political aspect. And significantly “cut” the number of entertainment programs.

However, this coin has a downside. Due to its non-standard content, REN TV was even awarded the “Antipremy” from the Ministry of Education for disseminating unscientific and false information.
4. NTV
He loves the Russian people TV shows. For NTV, Dinosaur was the best series of the past year, a comedy from the life of criminal elements, rude on the outside, but kind (somewhere deep) inside. However, “The First” is not afraid to offer its “conservatives” new shows, such as the Russian adaptation of the Japanese Sasuke, which is also in the American version of Ninja Warrior. In Russia, this sports show is called "Russian Ninja." The tests in it are so complicated that so far not a single participant has reached the finish line.
Channel One is also actively exploring the online space, which added 1.7% of the audience according to Big TV. Perhaps in this way the “First” is trying to strengthen its shaky position. At the end of 2018, it became known that his situation was not brilliant. The channel is even trying to get regular subsidies out of the budget to keep the ship afloat.
2. Russia 1
The heiress of the central television of the USSR still occupies a leading position in terms of the number of views. The most popular among the Russian audience are TV shows, especially Russian ones, and here "Russia 1" is a worthy competitor to both "Home" and NTV. One of the most popular TV series for TV viewers on “Russia 1” includes “our answer to Dr. House” - “Sklifosofsky” and “Birch” - a drama about the working days of the dance collective.
Although they watch movies less than TV shows, “Russia 1” and here they managed to get into the ladies thanks to the screening of “The Last Knight”. This illustrates well the preferences of the “age” audience who watch “Russia 1”. Most of all, this channel is popular among people over 55 years old.
1. Measured thematic TV
Under this unusual name for the uninitiated is a kind of conglomerate of television channels. Mediascope experts call “Measurable thematic TV” channels whose broadcasts are subject to a single goal. A striking example is the Discovery channel, where you can watch popular science shows about the world of wildlife, human history or the development of technology.
- By the number of views in this segment, channels that show movies and TV shows (for example, “Cinema House”, the horror channel “Real Scary Movie”, the action-packed “Russian Detective”) are leading.
- In the second place there are educational TV channels (Living Planet, Viasat History, etc.).
- In third place are children's channels, popular with both the children themselves and their parents. After all, only having sat the child to watch cartoons, parents receive the long-awaited minutes of rest. Among the most popular children's television channels in Russia can be noted "Mult" and Cartoon Network.
